The splendid buildings that with our residence make up the square, house the Municipality of Trieste, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional government and the Prefecture.
The historic centre, largely a pedestrian area, branches out in all directions: the opera house, Teatro Lirico Verdi, the historic cafes, the Maritime Station which also hosts conferences, the best boutiques, the main branches of the city’s most important firms, are all just a short walk away.
